Cobblestone Kids Race Added
On Thursday, July 2nd, the BBC will be racing downtown in the Cobblestone district. This will be our last downtown race 'til August 6th. The Buffalo Bicycling Club would like to invite you and your family & friends down for a special night of racing. We will feature two events and one kids race. The B race goes off at 6:30 PM. The kids race goes off at 7:20 PM. The feature A race will start at 7:40 PM....

Hamburg Criterium Closes out with a Bang
In tha final race of the day, Cat 1,2,3, local riders Ryan Nye (MVP Healthcare), Jason Skalski (Handlebars/NCC) and Jay Joslyn (Shickluna/Kelly and Brown) established an early break and stayed away until the finish. Each rider had team mates representing them in back in the pack protecting their position. Their team mates executed well, covering everything that tried to bridge.In the end, the 3 sprinted it out for the victory with Jay Joslyn jumping the other two on the backside of the course, and taking the win, just holding off a charging Jason Skalski. Laura Igoe Sets Course Record at Groveland TT
Laura Igoe (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak) raced the 23 mile hilly Groveland Time Trial in Ohio this Sunday. Laura not only won the overall women's title but set a course record at 55:45. Great job Laura. Results....

Crit Series Comes Rohring Back
Brian Rohr (Wells Fargo Advisors) takes the first "B" win of the Cobblestone Criterium Twilight Series, followed by Jason Skalski (Handlebars) lapping the entire field to easily win the "A" race. Brian broke away early with Lance Johnson (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak, but now Wells Fargo Advisors)  and Bob Patterson (Managed Care Network). Bob dropped off and rode in no-man's land by himself the remainder of the race to eventually finish 3rd, while Brian and Lance lapped rider after rider. New York State Criterium Champion Joe Cooke
The French Meadow Bakery/Fortistar Team drove to the NYS Criterium Championships Sunday and Joe Cooke does it again, winning the Cat 3/4 race, beating a field of 44 riders. The course was a tight 6 corner circuit similar to the race in Erie PA. from last weekend, that Joe also dominated.  In the A race, Jay Joslyn (Shickluna) once again takes the win after a long breakaway, while James Thompson, in his first BBC race, outsprints his two breakaway partners to win the B race. In the A's, Jay was joined by Bob Dahl (Hollyloft/El Matador) in staying away virtually the entire race, but at the line, Bob had no answer to Jay's strong acceleration. Out of Town Racing
Traci Mariniello (Tom's Pro Bike/Plan2Peak) set a personal best time in the NJ State Individual Time Trial Championship in Chatsworth, NJ yesterday. Traci smoked the 40km course in 1:00:59 with a average speed of 24.5 mph. Her time was the 3rd fastest overall for the Women with over 40 women competing. She was beat only by multiple time National Champion Anne Marie Miller (58:28) and Ellen Moses of CRCA/Comedy Central (1:00:18).Great job Traci....
