In 2010, the Team Race Series has changed to be three separate competitions following the Race Category changes. So there will be a Cat. 1,2,3 / Cat. 4 / and a Cat. 5 Series. This allows each team the ability to have up to three Teams based on their rider make up.
For the team time trial you will have the option of having a Team in each of the three categories. Rosters can have up to 9 racers and the finishing time is taken of the fourth racer across the line.
Team captains will be given access to an administration panel enabling them to claim their team members. This means that ALL team members must have turned in their individual membership applications PRIOR to racing in order to receive points. Once team rosters have been received, team captains will be given their administrative clearance to start claiming ACTIVE 2010 members.PLEASE have your team members turn in their BBC membership applications asap so you can take care of this responsibility.
Team captains will also have access to update their team web page once registered. This page not only includes a list of current team members, but has the ability to link to team web pages, list sponsors with links, and many other valuable assets to team exposure.
This is a 2009 USA Cycling Event release form. You will need a copy of this form for all USA Cycling events. Please print this out and have a copy for EACH RACE! This is a change from years past but starting in 2009 one release for the SERIES will not work for our insusrance. So, bring a new release to EACH event. This is a blank generic form meaning it can be used for both Buffalo Bicycling Club events as well as other USA Cycling Events held in the US. You will need the same form for USA Cycling permitted races so print it out and fill it in before you travel as well.
In 2009, the Team Race Series has become more automated to help facilitate quick and accurate updates. This system, which will be controlled through the website, makes it paramount that teams turn in their rosters well in advance of the first team series race in order to receive points.
