Congratulations to Jenny Bushover, Managed Care Network, on her 9th place finish in the Lake Placid Ironman triathlon. Jenny was 9th out of 100 in her age group and 54 out of 641 pro and age group women overall. Jenny finished with a time of 11:41:13. Lance Johnson, Wells Fargo Advisors, wins the Cat 4 race, and along the way picks up the KING of the mountains title. The Owasco road race is the hardest and hilliest race we have seen this year so far. Lance dominated the cat 4 field, and then out sprinted his nearest competitor by a clean bike length. Jose Alvergue, Managed Care Network, finished 5th in the cat 4 race. Congratulations to both on a great race. Paul Mesi also did well finishing just off the chase group in the 1,2,3 race....

On a beautiful sunny morning in Wales, NY, the A racers came out to contest the Club Road Race Championship. On the first time down Hunters Creek Rd., the racing was aggressive with more than a few trying their hands at applying pressure to the race. Rob Dahl (Hollyloft/El Matador) finally got a 15-20 second gap as he approached the first climb up Vermont Steet. At this point Jay Joslyn came flying out of the pack "catching everyone by surprise", caught and passed Rob Dahl, and really was never seen again. A few riders tried valiantly to bridge the gap, ...

On a threatening day in Wales, NY, the B's and Traci came out to contest the Club Road Race Championship. The 14.7 mile Hunters Creek course was rough but worked well to divide the competition. During the first of 2.5 laps, a few people tried their hand at putting pressure on the field with early break attempts. All were brought back until the second time up Vermont Street. Laura claimed her fourth National Championship title yesterday in Louisville, Kentucky, winning the Master Women's 35-39 Time Trial. Her time of 33:41.3 over the rolling 26 km course was the fastest overall women's time. Laura won her first TT Stars and Stripes in '06, and then added a jersey in both the TT and Road Race last season.
